International Day of Yoga, or commonly and unofficially referred to as Yoga Day, is celebrated annually on 21 June since its inception in 2015. An international day for yoga was declared unanimously by the United Nations General Assembly. Yoga is a physical, mental and spiritual practice originated in India.
This International Yoga Day, log out of your worries and log in to your own system, your soul. Presenting the 5th anniversary edition of Yoga By The Bay. It was a special event by Times of India where we all practiced Yoga in the rejuvenating breeze of the waterfront at Marine Drive, Mumbai from 6 am to 7.30 am.
All personnel of Western Naval Command, including families, defence civilians and their families, participated whole-heartedly in International Yoga Day 2019 celebrations. Yoga camps were organised at all naval stations of the Command including Goa, Gujarat and Karwar to cater for the entire naval community. At Mumbai, 21 camp sites saw enthusiastic participation by the naval community. Personnel from units, ships and establishments undertook Yoga under the watchful eyes of trained instructors and used this opportunity to learn the skill and understand its benefits. The #IndianNavy was also prominent in its presence at the ‘Yoga By the Bay’ initiative held at Marine Drive. About 100 naval personnel joined Mumbaikars for Yoga at the iconic venue. #YogaDay2019 #IDY2019#AYUSH #ZindagiRaheKhush
