Almond- one handful
Milk-1 litter
Cashew- few( optional)
Cardamom -2
Sugar- 1/4th cup or as per your taste
Saffron -2 pinches
Yellow color- a pinch
1. Soak almond and cashew in warm water for 1 hour and peel the skin. Grind smoothly with milk.
2. Boil milk well. Once it starts to boil well, add almond paste. Stir well. Once it cooks well and gets little thick, add sugar, saffron, cardamom powder, yellow color( optional) and mix well.
3. Save some soaked almond. Cut them into thin slices and add it to the Kheer. Serve hot or chilled.
