With an aim of promoting Indian Fashion industry globally, Asian Designer Week brings together designers with collections ranging from colorful fabrics to exotic materials with style inspirations mainstream Bollywood fashion to trendsetting styles from Far East.
Their Summer Resort edition will be held between 5th & 7th May, which is hosting an array of fresh talents this time around. One such gem of a talent is a Mumbai based designer Hitesh Punamiya, who’ll be showcasing his collection under the Indian ethnic wear category.
What’s interesting about this designer is that he’s an IT graduate turned Retail merchandiser, who later stepped into being a production head and then got into designing bridal lehengas and indowestern sarees, which was his true calling. It’s been 11 years since Hitesh has been following his passion with remarkable inspiration from the ancient art work of the Mughal era which consisted of the Zari work and hand woven embroidery. Hitesh Punamiya is all set to mark his debut at the year’s Asian Designer Week.
